Welcome to the SuperBowl review. Unlike normal, I am NOT
recording this- and starting to watch this during the second Q so we can
skip the commercials. Not only will the Wife and I give a game review, we
will also talk commercials. Comeback every 10 minutes or so and
catchup. Item 1 - Just told my daughter I was her age
when the Who were relevant- I don't think any of my 4 kids could name any songs by them outside of the CSI theme's.
How long do they go back? They went into the HALL OF FAME in 1990- and we
thought the headliners at UFC 109 were old. THEY
DISBANDED IN 1983, their LAST top 10 album was in 1979. That was Super
Bowl XIII F* you Justin, thanks to you and Ms
Jackson, we will end up with Ringo doing the Bowl solo and the Archie's

in honor of Dr Z. Carrie Underwood with the first

bounds. Our first Prop-bet is away- Saints take the
Ball, and they are going to score! Hyundai commercial sucked (Note- If its something that could show up during Big Bang theory- it sucks by default) Kickoff. Saints
drive 1 Yes I am eating wings- IE Freeney is out
there. Brees gets flushed- not a good sign for the
Saints.
Hey Phil, when can a team get off to a BAD start?

Colston whiffs on the pass- pops the ball UP and is lucky there was not an INT there. Punt-
Roby is the Saints MVP so far.
C- Robin Hood- Nice work on the 187th movie with that topic
C- Doritos- Kids slapping the man gets a laugh from the wife- I didn't like it.
C- Bud Light with the astromennors- MUCH better.
C- NCIS - don't care Manning hit again- and two plays later nailed again- that 3 so far.
Addai has 33 yards so far- I would not have given him this much all game. Soon as I post this he goes over 50 yards for the game. Peyton has been hit 4 times and Addai has over 50 yards- who is this team?
Dan: Another big run for Addai. 12 yard gain. It looks like the
Saints are having trouble on defense. They really are going to need to
correct this. The blocking is looking good from the Colts all around. Touchdown Colts! 94- Yard Drive! What the HELL is goin on?
Dan: Pierre Garcon with a TD reception!
This is going to make it 10-0 early in the 1st quarter. He was able to
pull away from the 2 defenders covering him and was able to catch it
easily. That was the longest drive in NFL history.
C- The Simpson's coke commercial was funnier than most of their episodes
C- Go Daddy- gotta love how Danica is more known for Go-Daddy than as a DRIVER- good job

Intel - Stupid Great pass by Brees- Lord knows they needed
that ONE YARD COMPLETION.

caring level is gone, so no Halftime commercials as I catchup.
Nice 44 yard FG to end the half for the Saints. 10-6 Colts
winning at half. Hartley has made a 46 yard FG and a 44 yard FG in this

that the saints have to fight harder for every yard. that toughness
will pay off in the fourth quarter. they just need to keep it close
enough. Zach: I haven't cared about ANY of the commercials... because I haven't watched a single one. That's the joy of watching the big game on the small screen of a computer monitor.
The Saints have done well so far to keep this game close... they feel like they're on the verge of grabbing the momentum. SECOND
HALF Dan: Woah! start of the 2nd half and we have an
onside kick by the Saints! Great move by them! And they recover! It took
the refs too long to make the call, but they got it correct. Saints ball.
This will give them additional opportunites to score and take the lead. The
Wife is thrilled- the Kid is jumping around like Elmo just walked
in! HUGE catch and run by Thomas- this defense of the Colts has got to be getting tired. They have been on the feild all day- last two Colt drives have been 3 and out.

Thomas picks up another first down- the Saints are WALKING it down the
feild. Thomas gets a HUGE catch and run- breaks 3 tackles and falls into the endzone.
13-10 SAINTS
Peyton needs a LONG drive to get the defense some wind.

Colts drive Peyton with a rollout and we see the
first Colt slip on the field. hey! Jimbo just noticed it! 70
minutes between Peyton's pass completions. Addai is
back to making his case for MVP

Dan: Well, here is another TD for the Saints. They take the lead
and will go for two. Shockey made the touchdown reception.

just need a TD to take the lead by two. C- Dante's Inferno, how sad for the English Language that game looks like a World of Warcraft knock-off

C- Denny's only good part was the chicken in space.
I've been skipping over the CBS commercials- but I have to say the Criminal Minds one was just one of the best of the night. Plus the show is awesome. Garcon gets a RAINBOW and makes a first down at the 42

So that interception seemed to really seal the deal. I thought the
Saints were going to get the momentum sooner or later as they kept things
within reach in the first half, and here they are about to prepare for a
victory march throughout the town's recently-obliterated streets to
celebrate with the Lombardi Trophy. What an impressive effort -- and as a
Packers fan, I take a perverse thrill in seeing the team that rattled
around ol' Brett Favre in the NFC Championship taking the title. I had a
little bit of a karmic debt to them for that, and a once-beleaguered city
that still works toward recovering from the ravages of nature has
something to celebrate for a change. I know there are 2:00 minutes left in
the game, but this just feels like the fat lady has sung... C-Samurai
Doritos - AWESOME Holding on the Colts - Manning looks like
he just lost the Sears commercial deal C- Bud Light, book Club - These commercials are shitty.
C- Hyundai who approved this crap
C- Thankfully the E-Trade baby saves the segment! Solid base hit. Tonia gives an "eh" but better than the previous two.

Zach: And with that stiff
defensive display on fourth and goal to seal the game with a minute left,
the Saints confirm their position as NFL champion for the 2009-2010
season. For the first time the city will get to celebrate a football
title... and they will surely do it in style. No longer just some bit of
offensive gimmickry, this New Orleans team was able to keep the potent
Colts offense in check most of the game and stymied perhaps the game's
greatest quarterback. But in missing out on another chance to win another
title -- while his winning counterpart, Drew Brees, sees his stock only
rising in this victory -- Peyton Manning keeps the debate raging rather
than cementing his position in the pantheon of all-time greats. Brees did
everything he possibly could, completing 32 of 39 for an absurd 82%
completion rate and two touchdowns, to drive the Saints to victory on
offense, and the other side of the ball held up its end of the bargain.
Hats off to this team, this franchise and this city... after decades of
NFL obsolescence and a recent history of hardship, they deserve this title
on so many levels... C- Etrade commercial- Best one of the
night. MVP - 32 of 39? Unreal. Gotta be Brees. Favorite
