Today a little bit differently- Live updates from the Show! Just Keep refreshing and as long as I can type I'll post as much as I can! This is our first attempt so bear with me!
Yes the lovely Cage Kittens (This one is Kristal) are in the house! Roy Lang is back in the house! Warming us all up for the fights! Skyler is out and looks calm and collected. Aaron is out- Sound like new music, Awesome voiceover- 9-0 overall 8 KOs etc- then pops over to the music from last time. Aaron has Irish music with a base guitar riff. Ref is the tallest guy in the cage- Crowd is going nuts for Aaron! See what an awesome music will do for you? GT Overhand right catches Aaron who covers up he recovers and they separate, I can hear the kids behinds me yelling for Lucky Charms- awesome. Skyler pushes to the cage, Aaron is going slow here- Skyler swings a right over Aaron's head who lands a SOLID hit that backs Skyler back, but Aaron doesn't chase him, he is visibly slowing down. This happens several times for a good bit- Aaron is landing shots but his having trouble moving Skylar is having problems finding his range, but Aaron is either dodging or absorbing his blows and effective countering. At the clapper, Aaron catching Skylar circling and gets Skylar to the cage and just unloads on him- the crowd rises to it's feet as Aaron just hits a SOLID knee but Skyler does make it out of the round. Hard round to judge, Aaron really just kind of stood there and countered but was more effective, Skyler did get more punches in and was able to move around the cage at will, until he was caught at the end. I gave the round to Skylar, but would not argue the round to Aaron either, R2 One of Aaron's cornermen dropped a pack of cigarettes during the round break, and the ref almost started the round before noticing- just struck me as funny as hell. Skylar pushes to the cage, knees from both men, but as Aaron spins off the cage, Skylar pushes him off and is able to move away. Skylar is back to circling, and Aaron is gassing hard. Skyler wings a punch over his head and Aaron lands a heavy punch, clinches and tries to take Skylar down! Skylar falls on top but Aaron is able to roll and Skylar is on his side, Aaron does not try to push hm over but continues to pound Skylar- the ref gives him plenty of time to defend but stops the fight!
Aaron R2 2:42 TKO Post fight: Arron says "I thought he would kick becasue he is taller, but he just hit really hard"
High Five by both men, Colin with a leg kick, Josh absorbs and clinches to the cage- then spins him and drops him Major Josh Lee chants from the SW corner. Josh with a MONSTER elbow- but Colin grabs it and pulls an armbar! He almost has it straight but Josh picks him up and powers out of it! He falls into full guard and then shows some good ground and pound, then is able to posture a bit and lays some HUGE fists- really picking his spots I can hear Colin say his ribs are hurting- Josh slows and turns to the ref- who asks are you ok, and then stops the fight! The Crowd explodes but settles down when the doctor jumps in the cage- Josh poses a bit while the doc checks on Colin, then Roy climbs in to talk to him as Colin is up after after about 7 minutes- and walks to the back under his own power. Winner
Josh Lee Verbal Submission (Apparent Rib Injury) 2:21 R1 Josh says that he said his ribs were broke, and called the ref over to let him know.
We saw Nolan's final Amateur fight, and both of these guys look really good. High-Five to start, Nolan has a WIDE stance as he throws out his jab, Torres with a SOLID leg kick, Nolan counters with a kick to the midsection that has Torres visibly wincing. Down they go and Nolan has the full mount (Sorry, missed how) he is showing some effective G&P but gets back to the guard, Torres gets back to his feet but took a lot of punishment, Nolan closes with a Flying Knee! Nolan pounces and pounds Torres out.
Winner Nolan Norwood TKO 2:08 R1 Post fight Roy does his best to come up with a nickname for Nolan, I personally think "Bad Luck" works for him, but oh well.
GT and this one should be good. Nathan comes in and catches Scott flush- Scott drops - but is only grabbing a leg. Nathan is just pounding away as Scott is trying to hold on- Nathan hops away from the cage and Scott is able to get the leverage to pick him up- and he does has him HIGH in the air- carries him a step then tries to slam him down, Nathan is able to break his fall a bit but Scott is on top. Scramble and Scott is in side control, trying for a crucifix but Nathan is working and doing a good job at avoiding damage. Nathan tries to kick off the cage- but Scott controls and gets the mount, but Nathan is able to survive the round. 10-9 Scott, but he took a lot of damage. GT Leg kick by Nathan and Scott grabs a single leg- Down they go and Scott has mount and the whole round to work this time, Nathan absorbs a lot of damage but is unable to get his hips off the ground and Scott is just raining blows down, Nathan turtles and the ref stops the fight!
Winner: Scott "Bear" Barett TKO R2 1:03
Bob Sapp is IN THE RING!
